OBAMA DOES 5 SUNDAY SHOWS, BUT NOT FOX

Bookmark and Share

Time magazine talks about whether that's overkill, but decides it isn't. The only problem (according to them)

As I said then, "The fact remains that — according to Pew Research — over half of Fox News' audience members are Democrats or Independents. Their votes are legitimate, whether Fox News is or not. And to continue to freeze out Fox would go against one of Obama's most consistent messages: that people are sick of red-vs.-blue America divisions and that we should be able to talk with people who disagree with us." I'm sticking by that.

Nope. Don't agree. A commenter had a good take on it.

Would W ever have given Dan Rather an interview after the trumped-up "Rathergate"? Did Dick Cheney ever go on "Countdown"?

So why in the hell would Obama give Fox any credibility as a news organization by giving them an interview? Fox spends half its time saying or implying that Obama is not an American, that he is the Devil Incarnate, that he's a Communist (not that anyone on Fox actually knows what the word means).

So please, leave your Fox envy at the door. It makes you look like an idiot. Ratings does not equal credibility.

After all, he still calls on Major Garrett during newsers, doesn't he? It's not like they're getting shut out. And, perhaps when they start actually doing news, they'll get a crack at it.
